About
«Latin American Readings» is an academic conference dedicated to Latin American studies, including the study of the languages of Latin America, sociolinguistics, literary theory and history, as well as a broad spectrum of topics related to the history, philosophy, linguistic and cultural studies, and art history of the Latin American region.
The conference brings together scholars from leading Russian and international research institutions, including Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Institute of Latin America of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Linguistics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, MGIMO University (under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation), Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University), the Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH), and the Camões Institute.
In 2025, the conference will mark the 100th anniversary of the eminent Soviet and Russian hispanist V.S.Vinogradov.

Applications for participation are accepted until October 1, 2025 (inclusive) at latam.msu@yandex.ru and iberorom@yandex.ru

The application must contain the following information: full name, place of work and position, contact phone number, email address, title of the report (download)

co-authorship
Each author may submit no more than one application (submission of one more report in which the applicant acts as a co-author is permitted).
04 —
format
the conference format is hybrid, absentee participation is not provided; working languages: Russian, Spanish and Portuguese
05 —
acception
The decision of the program committee on the inclusion of the paper in the conference program will be communicated by email no later than November 1, 2025.
06 —
schedule
Presentation guidelines: up to 20–25 minutes (during the plenary session), up to 10–15 minutes (within the sections)
